There's just something about Tennessee during the fall that will have you dreaming about coming back every year. Chattanooga is a hip and popping city with endless amount of activities and restaurants. I would highly recommend going to Chattanooga during the fall. The temperature felt great and the fall foliage was jaw-dropping!

(Downtown Chattanooga)
Rock City is a well-known attraction in Chattanooga for its spectacular views, a rock trail surrounded by gardens and trees, a suspended bridge, and more! You can use the map to guide you through the whole park which has several stops such as:
Swing-A-Long- Bridge - Would you dare to walk across this 180ft bridge??
Lover's Leap - you can see 7 states from the top of Lover's Leap: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Mother Goose Village - a dark room inside of Fairyland Caverns that has lit up classic nursery rhymes.
Fat Man's Squeeze - this part of the trail becomes very tight between two large rock walls
Ruby Falls is an underground waterfall with a lot of history. You start the tour off by going down a deep elevator and walk through winding pathways in a cave surrounded by unreal looking stalagmites and beautiful rocks until you reach Ruby Falls waterfall.
Fun Fact: Ruby Falls was founded by Leo Lambert in 1928. After countless hours digging through a cave and finally reaching a waterfall, Leo named the fall after his wife, Ruby. They even got married there!
Chattanooga Bridge
The popular bridge that everyone takes pictures on in Chattanooga is called the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge. At one point, vehicles would cross this bridge to get to the other side of town. Today, the bridge is a hot spot for tourists to take pictures and for locals to ride their bikes or go for walks and jogs. We saw a ton of locals walking their dogs here! (I'm a dog lover so of course I noticed a girl eating her ice cream cone while her dog ate out of his pup cup = LOVE).
Chattanooga Food:
I was genuinely impressed with how many delicious restaurants there were to eat at in Chattanooga. All of the locals would recommend something different because of all of the options!

The two activities below are not necessarily located in Chattanooga, but is close enough and the drive is totally worth it!
Located outside of Chattanooga in Lynchburg, Tennessee is the home of Jack Daniels! Take the tour that shows you the history of Jack Daniels, how they procure their water for the drinks, and the process of turning the water into delicious whiskey. The tour even includes a tasting of their 6 popular flavors.
I personally had no idea that Lodge Cast Iron was invented in Tennessee. My parents bring me to the most random places and the Lodge Cast Iron factory store is one place we ended up. Located in South Pittsburg, Tennessee is the factory store for Lodge. Step in and grab a cast iron item for your kitchen!

There is a TON of activities and sights to see outside of what I have listed here. Below are some more options:
Tennessee Valley Railway - Enjoy dinner and a view
Chattanooga Market - This market is packed with ambitious small business owners. There are plenty of food trucks to grab lunch from!
Chattanooga Ducks - hop on the duck boat and enjoy the ride down the Tennessee River
