Have you ever heard of the Pecan Festival in Brunswick, Missouri? If not, let me introduce you to it!

Brunswick: a small farm town with a whole lot of charm! I may be a little biased...maybe because my parents grew up there and own a country store that serves tasty meals at Grand River Marketplace. Maybe because I love all of the cute shops on Broadway that you could spend a whole day going in and out of. Maybe because I love the feeling of being in the country every once in a while. Regardless...I ALWAYS make a trip to Brunswick, Missouri for their annual Pecan Festival.

This year the event will be held on Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 with the theme of Horsing Around at the 42nd Pecan Festival. The "main" day that tourists or family coming back home will come in town for the festival on is Saturday because the parade starts downtown at 2pm. Saturday is a packed day: parade, vendors/street market, talent contest, ax throwing, pecan pie contest, teen dance, and more. Check out the Pecan Festival Facebook page since it is updated frequently with new information and event details!

You can be walking around for hours looking at all of the vendors, booths, and adorable stores that line the main road, Broadway. You can find items like fresh baked goods, small boutique clothing/accessories, jars of homemade BBQ, variety of pecan options, and art. There are also plenty of food trucks and stands to purchase delicious meals and snacks at!

If you are looking to spice up your fall wardrobe, step inside Honey Bee-tique. If you are looking for antiques to take home, step inside The Grove. Kaitlyn's is a great place to grab some ice cream on a hot day or a slice of their unbelievable homemade cheesecake. A trip to Brunswick cannot be complete without stopping by King Hill Farms to purchase fresh produce and pick out your favorite pumpkins, mums, and fall decorations! Of course...you can't forget to take your time shopping inside of Grand River Marketplace, which has a variety of items like candy, baked goods, pecans, canned/jarred jellies and jams, fresh produce, fresh pastries, pickled goods, salsa, craft drinks and SO MUCH MORE.

P.S. - Make sure to take a picture at the "World's Largest Pecan" mini-park off the west side of Broadway.

I hope to see you there!
