From sports bars with sand volleyball courts, to outdoor pickle ball courts serving beer within reach, to bars that have TV's on every wall playing every sport under the moon...Kansas City has plenty of sports bars to check out!

30Hop

Located: 1020 NW Pryor Rd G, Lee's Summit, MO 64081

30Hop is greater Kansas City's newest spot to hang out with friends, watch sports, sip on great drinks, and eat tasty food. We tried a little bit of everything: the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, the Loaded Potato Soup, a Greek Salad, the MASSIVE chicken tenders, and the BBQ Macaroni & Cheese. We also ended our meal with the blueberry cheesecake dessert...amazing! 30Hop has a large bar area, several TV's, great deals, and a menu with something that will satisfy everyone in your party. Check out their website and social media for daily specials and daily happy hour (excluding Saturdays).

The Well

Located: 7421 Broadway St, Kansas City, MO 64114

I've been to the Well numerous times for happy hour, with coworkers, with friends, on dates, with family & even solo! The patio is decked with games and great views. The Baja tacos are my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the burgers! The fries are seasoned to perfection! Check out their happy hour deals...awesome! My grandma enjoyed the fish & chips. The Nashville hot chicken is also a friend favorite...if you can handle the heat! I go to The Well very frequently to enjoy drinks and appetizers during happy hour. This is a perfect spot to go for work or personal happy hour! The cheese curds, buffalo cauliflower bites, and the side of French fries are my favorite dishes!

Blue Line Hockey Bar

Located: 529 Walnut St, Kansas City, MO 64106

Kansas City's top hockey bar with amazing dishes and cold beer. Because I used to live very close to this spot, I've tried almost every dish! Try out the Cheese Shots, Nachos, or Chips & queso for an appetizer. Their tenders are massive & the buffalo wings are hot! The chimichanga and tacos are my top favorites. You truly can't go wrong with any dish here!

The Blue Line can get very busy on the weekend or during big games, especially during hockey games. If you want to snag a table on the weekends, make sure to get there early!

The Social

Located: 13410 W 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, KS 66216

The Social is a popular sports bar in the Waldo area of Kansas City for several reasons. There are televisions on every wall playing different games and sports so that everyone is able to watch a game of their choosing. On Tuesday's, The Social serves $2 tacos and $5 margaritas which is such a good deal! At 7PM on Tuesday's, music bingo starts and it is completely free to play! Want to a chance to win a 6-pack of beer? Try your luck at bingo at the Social on Tuesday's!

The Sandbox

Located: 1010 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64105

I met up with a friend at the sandbox and enjoyed a great steak meal with two sides and a drink for under $30 (before tip). The grilled chicken dinner also looked delicious and covered the entire plate. There are plenty of outdoor games along with a rooftop patio. This is definitely a popular spot to visit on a sunny day! If you enjoy playing pickle ball, sand volleyball, or trivia: this is your place!

The Quaff

Located: 1010 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64105

The Quaff is a fantastic bar to get a get or tasty meal downtown Kansas City. It's well known in the area for a reason! If you are craving a burger, order the Q-Burger because it is stacked with black garlic, sautéed shallots and onions, cheese and the rest of the fixings! Play billiards, shoot some hoops, watch a sports game, or play trivia on their trivia nights. The Quaff is a popular spot to visit with friends on the weekend!

Lew's Bar & Grill

Located: 7539 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114

Lew's is located in the Waldo are of Kansas City and is very popular in this neighborhood area. A lot of people go to Lew's to watch a football or hockey game because of the fun environment and great service. The KC Strip is juicy and the side of potatoes are delicious! There are also several great burgers and sandwhiches on the menu here.

Perfect place to snag a table if you are wanting to visit a bar but want a tasty meal.

Paul & Jack Taverns

Located: 1808 Clay St, North Kansas City, MO 64116

Looking for a spot to grab a quick happy hour meal or drink while in North Kansas City? Stop at Paul & Jack's! The tenderloins are bigger than the size of my face and the fried shrimp platter will fill you up! This place is great for large parties and has an event room that can be reserved.

There are several other sports bars in Kansas City that I haven't been to quite yet. Below are some places that are on my Kansas City Bucket List.

Have you been to any of these? If not, add one to your KC Bucket List as well!

  • Gambal's Social Club
